Arkansas investigates ExxonMobil spill

The US state of Arkansas’ attorney general will investigate the cause and impact of a rupture and subsequent oil spill from ExxonMobil’s 96,000 b/d Pegasus crude pipeline on 29 March. About 12,000 bl of crude and water has been recovered so far from the Mayflower area, and 22 homes were evacuated after the spill. An estimated 3,500-5,000 bl of Canadian Wabasca Heavy crude was spilled.
