Parking providers should not be lulled into a false sense of security over data protection, warns Will Hurley The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was a prominent issue for many in the parking sector earlier this year. After the frenetic (and sometimes frantic!) preparations for the brave new world of GDPR, most parking operators appear to have taken the new data protection legislation in their stride. It was reassuring to see the enthusiastic engagement and high attendance of operators at the nationwide series of training courses run by the International Parking Community (IPC) to help maximise compliance with the new data protection disciplines.
