The problem of diagnosis is indeed linked to the maintenance, which involves economic factors (cost of maintenance vs. expected gain). Several methods of diagnosis, detection and localization of faults have been developed to ensure the monitoring of the systems and guarantee their fault tolerance. It is clear that the activity of diagnosis require two tasks: Detection and localization. Detection consists of detecting the presence of a defect while the location intends to find the faulty element. Defects have often been studied in industrial applications at constant speed and by vibration analysis. These mechanical vibrations are sufficient caused pressure variation. In this work we are interested in the diagnosis of rotor defects in a squirrel cage asynchronous motor which consists of measuring the vibrations of the stator and using piezoelectric sensors. This solution aims to detect an early defect before it leads to a total failure of the industrial plant.
