Some updated industry training programmes are ready for use - putting a fresh focus on workplace literacy so that the new learning opportunities can be fully explored.We have been working with the Primary ITO to review and update the seafood training programmes and materials, to make sure they are fit for purpose and meet industry needs. This includes the exciting new apprenticeships in commercial fishing, which are almost ready, and seafood processing. Those of you who are attending the New Zealand Seafood Conference and technical day will hear more about these new initiatives and more information will be provided by the Primary ITO very soon.
