Phage therapy against Achromobacter xylosoxidan s lung infection in a patient with cystic fibrosis: a case report

Respiratory infections can lead to serious complications in CF patients, especially when infected with antibiotic resistant bacteria. Alternative treatments for these infections are being sought out to help address this problem. We present a clinical case of a cystic fibrosis (CF) patient, with multi-drug resistant (MDR)Achromobacter xylosoxidanschronic lung infection who was successfully managed with bacteriophage therapy.
