REDEFINING THE HAYNESVILLE

In the Haynesville Shale, a stellar natural gas play that fell out of favor when gas prices cra-tered, the rigs are back. More than 40 were drilling here recently, up from a low of just 12 during the downturn. The Haynesville rig count has been running neck and neck with that of the other most prolific U.S. gas resource, the Mar-cellus-Utica Shale in Appalachia.
