Barge Capsizes in San Francisco Bay

Heavy winds may have led to a freight barge named Vengeance capsizing in San Francisco Bay (California, USA) early on 7 April 2017. As much as 4,000 gallons (95 barrels) of diesel fuel oil and 300 gallons (7 barrels) of hydraulic oil were on board the barge when it sank, some in fuel tanks and some in barrels. An oil sheen was seen on the water's surface following the incident.
