Financial data (2003-05) are presented of 5-8 Federal states in Germany, including returns per product range and per logging unit, volume logged/ha. Costs of logging, reforestation, silviculture, forest protection, forest roads, hunting, management, and miscellaneous aspects are tabulated. Logging costs in 2005 varied from 37% in Sachsen to 52% in Thuringen, while management costs varied from 29% in Thuringen and Baden-Wurrtemberg to 41% in Sachsen..
