Nigerian LPG demand, imports surge in January

Nigerian LPG demand and imports surged in January, putting the country on course to reach its target of 5mn t of consumption in total over 2018-22. Domestic LPG use rose to nearly 90,000t in the frst month of this year, up from around 74,900t in December and 53,400t a year earlier, data from Nige- ria’s oil regulator the PPPRA show. To meet the 5mn t target, monthly con- sumption must average 83,333t in 2018-22. Nigeria’s LPG demand was 820,000t in 2019 and 780,000t in 2018.
