The RCN has attacked government claims that its opposition to the Health and Social Care Bill is a political response to concerns over nurses' pay and pensions.The college declared its outright opposition to the health bill last week, exactly a year after the legislation was first brought before parliament.The decision was made at a meeting of RCN council earlierthis month. It followed a series of unsuccessful attempts to secure amendments during the parliamentary process and recognised the 'sheer scale' of members' concerns.
