Atlantic Sunrise Operations Delayed Again, But Legal Hurdles Overcome

Williams will have to wait another week before it begins full operations on Atlantic Sunrise, a 1.7 billion cubic foot per day expansion project on its Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line system. In a statement Friday, the company said it is now hoping to start flows Sep. 17 on the 183 mile greenfield segment that runs from Susquehanna County in the state's northeast producing region to the Transco Mainline in Lancaster County. It had asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to allow it to begin operations on Sep. 10, but FERC had not responded as of press time.
