摘要

The number of significant earthquakes linked to drilling wastewater injection in Oklahoma will likely drop this year, according to preliminary data - but that doesn't mean the state will soften its restrictions on the oil and gas industry. "This is still a work in progress. While we have seen a gradual drop in our earthquake rate over the past year, which researchers attribute in part to actions taken by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission [OCC], we are certainly not done," OCC spokesman Matt Skinner told Natural Gas Week last week.
