JV Revived to Push Technological Advances in Gas

State utility regulators are again partnering with the US Department of Energy (DOE) to help advance key natural gas technologies such as pipeline leak detection. The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) is reviving its 2016 initiative with DOE known as the Natural Gas Infrastructure Modernization Partnership (NGIMP). That venture, designed to help with the exchange of information on emerging technologies and investments in gas for power generation and thermal load, officially ended in June.
