Cheniere Energy is asking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission(FERC)for approval to put its Midship gas pipeline in Oklahoma into service no later than Apr.17”in order to meet the needs of its shippers.”At a cost of about $1 billion,Midship consists up to 200 miles of 26 inch pipe designed to deliver about 1.44 billion cubic feet per day of gas from the Anadarko Basin to existing pipelines near Bennington,Oklahoma,for transport to US Gulf Coast and Southeast markets.Some of the gas will be used as feedstock for the growing LNG export industry in the Gulf region.
