摘要

Strain measurements are very demanding to the affordability of new autonomous and intelligent materials. For this reason, new technologies are currently in development. A series of tests have been carried out at the Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali (C.I.R.A.) Laboratories in Italy, working with PCB Piezotronics, which compare a new fiber optic sensor system with more traditional strain gauges for static systems, and piezoelectric sensors for dynamic systems.
