Nickel Challenging turf ahead for the metal

The global nickel prices gained in the month of July wherein the prices have increased around 9% and 8% at LME & MCX Futures market respectively. The prices took a hit as the reports came from Indonesia which had approved nearly 2.08 million tonne more low grade nickel ore export quotas, taking the total export quota approved so far this year to 8.14 million tonne. The Philippines' new environment minister had also lifted a restriction on issuing environmental permits to projects, including mine exploration and development, reversing a previous order by his controversial predecessor dismissed in May.
