Perdue unveils farm bill and legislative principles for 2018

MIFFLINTOWN, PA. — Improving U.S market competitiveness, promoting a variety of innovative crop insurance products and changes, and strengthen-ing the integrity and efficiency of food and nutrition programs are 3 of the more than 40 U.S. Department of Agriculture farm bill and legislative principles outlined by U.S Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue last week. Mr. Perdue unveiled the principles during a town hall meeting at Reinford Farms in Mifflintown, Pa., on Jan. 24.
