摘要

A new fatigue failure criterion to predict the fatigue life of layered composites under a plane stress state is presented. The criterion is based on a nonlinear phenomenological fatigue damage accumulation model. It was verified by predicting the fatigue life of [30(16)] off-axis specimens under a uniaxial cyclic loading, and an acceptable accuracy of the prediction was found to exist.
