A $3 million Grant Will Help Sydney Engineers Develop the Factories of the Future

The University of Sydney will partner with local and US universities to conduct fundamental research that will underpin advanced manufacturing solutions for the factories of the future. The Hon Christopher Pyne MP, Minister for Defence Industry, recently announced the funding, and declared that the University of Sydney would act as the Australian lead, in conjunction with the University of New South Wales, and work with seven of the top universities in the US to deliver a materials science and engineering program on additive manufacturing - commonly known as 3D printing.
