Fiber lasers are quickly gaining popularity across manufacturing plant floors. The reason for this is due to fiber lasers' advantages such as simplified laser beam guidance, robustness of the laser design or small footprint. Founded in 2003, Multiwave Photonics, headquartered in Maia, Portugal, is specialized in pulsed fiber lasers technology. Multiwave Photonics has recently published an application note document about identity (ID) cards marking with fiber lasers. The application note discusses techniques and problems of ID cards marking.
