Milking it with a robotic solution: Welsh dairy invests in automated trolley packer

An ABB robot (new.abb.com) has helped Wrexham-based Tomlinson's improve its productivity, as part of a trolley-packing solution designed by Mechelec Automation (www.mechelecautomation.com). Working up to 18hr a day loading bottles of milk onto trolleys, the robot-based system has doubled the number of four-pint bottles packed from 120 to 240 per min.
