California - ideal for fruit growing

I have been here in Davis for almost forty years, 38 of them in the science of fruit production (pomology). For the last 25 years I have concentrated on peaches and nectarines for the fresh market, almonds, walnuts, a little less pistachios and plumsfor drying (prunes).
