BSEE Announces Record Oil Production in Gulf of Mexico

For the first time in history, oil production from the Gulf of Mexico exceeded 2 million b/d in August 2019, the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) announced January 7. BSEE said this follows up on a record-setting 2018, when a total of more than 640 million barrels were produced in federal waters in the Outer Continental Shelf.
