There has been a further firming in CAN 27% prices in Germany in the last fortnight,driven by improved demand fuelled by the recent spike in urea prices globally.The market has been particularly active in recent week with buyers moving to snap up CAN 27% at prices considered low comparative to those for urea.OCI,which sold out for September at €165 cif inland,increased its CAN 27% price to €170 cif inland for Q4 delivery,and after achieving sales at this level is understood to be increasing its asking price to €180 cif inland from next week.Yara announced a new list price on 24 August for CAN 27% of €180 cif inland for October deliveries.This followed sales by Yara for September at €165 cif inland.The €180 cif inland from Yara is yet to be accepted by buyers,with €165-170 cif inland this week considered to be realistic.Meanwhile,there is reported to be fewer offers currently of CAN 27% from Eastern Europe,which is providing further support to prices in the south and east of Germany,with prices in the low €170s delivered reported for truckloads of Polish CAN 27%,prices roughly reflecting high €160s cif inland.
