摘要

Implications Caecal soluble lipopolysaccharide (LPS) concentrations were found to be much higher than those found inthe rumen. Caecal LPS and not ruminal LPS concentrations correlated with visible inflammation of the rumen wall. Thus,some of the inflammation associated with sub-acute ruminal acidosis (SARA) may actually originate in the lower gut.
