First record of the Old World genus Podaukia Hollis & Martin, 1993 from Brazil with description of a new species (Hemiptera: Psylloidea)

Padaukia macrolobii sp. nov. (Psyllidae, Psyllinae) is described from Brazil (states of Amazonas, Mato Grosso and Roraima). Adults were collected in two localities on the fabaceous tree Macrolobium acaciifolium which is a likely host. This is the first find of Padaukia in the Neotropics previously known only from Africa and Asia. The discovery documents how poorly Brazil’s psyllid fauna is known.
