Zur Bedeutung von Kiesgruben für den Erhalt der Artenvielfalt Teil 2: Kaferzonosen nordniedersachsischer Gruben im Vergleich (Coleoptera)

Due to the very high diversity of the beetle cenosis of a single gravel pit found in a first study, five more over a total distance of 120 km were investigated using an analogous method spectrum. Again high numbers of partly extremely rare species were found with high habitat requirements as well as numerous representatives of Red Lists. Based on the analysis of species groups, the high ecological value of gravel pits could be demonstrated again in a comprehensively way.
