Next-generation models should start appearing around 2019 with Chemical Explosives Detector (CED) adapter. Adapted for civil/first responder market. Drone-mounted capabilities could be added in the future. The Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD) is a small, lightweight, handheld unit that automatically detects, identifies, and quantifies chemical agents. It can be mounted on various platforms or carried in the field by individual soldiers.
