As some of you may know,I had the opportunity to chair the Planning Committee for the 2008 Metal Removal Fluid Symposium held in Dearborn,Mich,from Oct.5-8.While driving from Cleveland to Dearborn on Oct.5,1 was contemplating my duties as chair and hoping for a well-run event.I then received a call on my cell phone from an ILMA colleague who said that he could not come to the Symposium because of other pressing duties with his current job.He added that he looked over the agenda and for the most part it appeared to be the"same old stuff"we had been kicking around since the last Symposium.In essence,why bother going?
