A recent study by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) recommends that small and medium manufacturers should now seek partnerships at each stage of the global supply chain to capitalize on new growth opportunities.Factoring into the recommendation are observations of a highly favorable business climate:U.S.manufacturing output is at an all-time high,U.S.productivity at record highs,and the dollar now has a more competitive value overseas.Partnerships should include everything from research and development through manufacturing,packaging,shipment,service and support.
