RICHMOND TERMINAL STATION REBUILD

Only 3.4km from Melbourne's CBD, the Richmond Terminal Station (RTS) is an integral part of Victoria's electricity network. The RTS supplies power to around 120,000 premises including the Melbourne Cricket Ground, CityLink, rail services and the CBD itself. Last rebuilt in the 1960s, RTS is at the end of its operational life. The upgrade is massive, requiring most of the ageing infrastructure to be replaced with new equipment to facilitate Melbourne's growing electricity demands.
