Opec+ countries reached an agreement to cut oil produc- tion at an emergency meeting on 12 April, but the cuts are outweighed by the expected demand drop as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The deal agreed last weekend by the Opec+ group is expected to remove 12.5mn b/d from the market in May-June, from April levels, once some additional cuts are factored in.
