Indonesia's coal output for the year remains on target to reach 550mn t, according to the country's energy ministry, a dis-closure that may exacerbate oversupply concerns and further pressure coal prices. Plans by some Indonesian producers to reduce output are likely to be ofset by the decision of other mining frms to raise output, the ministry said, without specifying company names or other details. As many as 30 coal producers requested permission in July to raise output.
