No chance of a sulphur cap delay: IMO

Shippers hoping that the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) will postpone the 1 January 2020 start date of its new sulphur rules are bound for disappointment. Frederick Kenney, the IMO’s director of legal and external afairs, told shipping industry association Bimco that there is zero chance of a delay. None of the IMO-member states re- quested a postponement at the Marine Environmental Protec- tion Committee meeting last month, Kenney said.
