India’s Hindalco aluminium output holds stable

Indian private-sector metals producer Hindalco Industries’ aluminium output rose slightly in the January-March quarter as its plants continued to operate at peak capacity. Production was 321,000t for January-March, the fnal quar- ter of its 2018-19 fscal year, compared with 320,000t a year earlier. It edged up to about 1.3mn t for 2018-19 from 1.29mn t a year earlier.
