Alberta loosens grip on August crude output

The Alberta government is loosening its grip on crude output in August by allowing another 25,000 b/d to reach the market. The curtailment program will still limit production to 3.74mn b/d, the government said on 27 June, keeping 150,000 b/d of the market. This is 175,000 b/d more crude than when the mandated cuts were frst put in place on 1 January.
