Alunorte to halt alumina output in Brazil

Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro will temporarily halt operations at its Alunorte alumina refinery in the state of Para, Brazil, because bauxite residue storage is nearly full. The firm will also shut down 100pc of mining at its Paragominas bauxite mine.
