India coal-fred generation eases to 5-month low

Indian coal-fred power generation continued to increase on the year in July, but output eased to a fve-month low on stronger hydro and nuclear generation. Total Indian coal-fred generation rose by 5TWh on the year to 80.68TWh last month, but output was still the lowest since February, provisional data from government agency the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) show. Coal-fred generation eased from 87.39TWh in June and a record 91.65TWh in May.
