coke prices stable on limited supply

Low production in the US is keeping petroleum coke spot supply in check, supporting prices this week in spite of stif competition from coal. A number of buyers were in the market this week for high- sulphur tenders, including into north Africa, Central America and southeast Asia-Pacifc. Most US Gulf spot supply is in the hands of traders, with refners largely sold out. But competi- tion between traders was strong.
