For those of you who might not be familiar with the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE), we are primarily a technical society. We were established in 1944 by industry leaders seeking to share and enhance technical information related to the lubrication of mechanical systems. The requirements of World War II drove the need for better lubricants and lubrication practices over wider extremes of environmental conditions. STLE has long had a collaborative relationship with ILMA in helping our industry deal with ever-changing technical problems, often as an outcome of the changing regulatory landscape. As a result many members of ILMA and STLE are members of both organizations. Thus, as part of this tradition, STLE is proud to be a presenting partner of the ILMA 5th International Conference on Metal Removal Fluids, Moving Forward Through Cooperation and Innovation.
