摘要

Normally, a superbike is rarely occupied with double stand and for that reason; paddock stand is used to lift up the superbike mostly for maintenance purposes. Paddock stand is a device that used to lift the superbike whether at front, center or rear part of the superbike. This paper is an extensive result from previous paddock stand which came out from the same research team. Current designs of rear superbike paddock stand available in market are still impractical and inconvenient because of the devices require two peoples to operate, not portable, heavy and big in size. Thus, a new portable and single user superbike paddock stand is designed via the utilization of CAD and CAE tools which consists the processes of design, drafting, analysis and simulation. 3D CAD model have been developed and drafted for documentation and presentation of the design. The 3D CAD model was also analyzed by finite element analysis (FEA) to study the structure, stress, and displacement of the design. The results of the finite element analysis (FEA) showed that the deformation of the model is nearly zero, the maximum Von Mises Stress is 120 MPa and the maximum translation displacement is 8.07 mm. The paddock stand later has been fabricate and undergo the actual testing on respective superbike.
