Digital Convergence Operation Support System and Process Implementation Based on Service-Oriented Architecture

Recent worldwide telecommunication industry development trends have moved toward digital convergence businesses such as information, communication, and entertainment media. To fulfill the operational management requirements of digital convergence businesses, this research uses service-oriented architecture (SOA) as the crucial design core and references the enhanced telecommunication operations map (eTOM) model architecture of the TeleManagement Forum (TMF) to meet the business requirements of future digital convergence trends. This study constructs a comprehensive operation support system (OSS) to analyze and explain the module constructed based on the SOA and its relevant subfunctions. Using the Web services interface, this study established service network element interfaces and standardized information transmission. Customer service order operational processes were used to explain and demonstrate application effects. The results can provide suggestions and serve as a reference for architecture construction regarding the future OSS of digital convergence networks.
