摘要

In a fabrication-based workshop, the material flow network in the facility is obtained by merging the routings of all the parts into a directed graph structure. By embedding every routing into a column of a grid, this paper proposes an integer programming model which is the first integer programming model used for multiple sequences alignment problems. This model maximizes flows in one direction. As a result, the material flow network can be simplified for the use of layout design. A case study is included to illustrate this approach.
