Energy experts call for major rethink of GB power grid

A major rethink, outlined in the Institution of Engineering and Technology's (IET) new report, Electricity Networks: Handling a Shock to the System, should identify a 'systems architect' to ensure a holistic approach to adapting the power grid. In order to meet challenging and complex new requirements resulting from decarbonisation, the electricity network will face unprecedented change in the next 20 years.
