摘要

The interest in connected cars has never been higher - or the demands on data connectivity greater. In-vehicle networks, infotainment, and safety applications will generate and consume sensor generated data at speeds exceeding 20 Gbps, as well as vast amounts of high speed mobile data from 5G and other wireless networks. While speeds are important, data connectivity will also need to be exceptionally robust and reliable, providing continuous availability and performance in constantly changing, harsh automotive environments. Cars will communicate with in-vehicle systems, the environment, and infrastructure to continuously update and optimize vehicle to everything (V2X) applications. Connected cars' data revolution is being joined by a powertrain revolution. Powerful electric motors with precise energy control and high voltage and high current cables are now part of vehicle architectures. These currents can create considerable electromagnetic interference, disrupting data transmission.
