摘要

Binuclear Ni(II) complexes of 4-diethylaminosalicylaldehyde-4(N)-substituted thiosemicarbazones bridged by 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane have been synthesized and characterized. A spectroscopic evaluation of their binding ability with DNA and protein was carried out, the results of which implied a better affinity for the complexes. The free radical scavenging activity of the complexes was found to be greater than those observed for the ligands, the metal precursor and standard Vitamin C.
