摘要

The urea reactor which is a 34.9 m tall multilayered carbon steel vessel with inner titanium lining leaked during operation which in turn resulted in the failure of the outer carbon steel shell. This study briefs about the extent of damage, causative of failure, refurbishment procedures and the inspection techniques that were carried out by our multi-efficient team of in-house engineers during the repair works so as to ensure better reliability of the equipment during normal running hours.
