A Walk in the Kamay-Botany Bay National Park

Background: While much of the area in which Banks and Solander collected is now suburban development three areas are retained as fairly natural - the Towra Point Nature Reserve and two areas within the Kamay - Botany Bay National Park - the northern headland near La Perouse and the southern headland near Kurnell. The Reserve is the largest and most diverse estuarine wetland complex in NSW, representing around half of the remaining mangrove area near Sydney, and most of the saltmarshes remaining in the region.
