Marty Pereira fell in love with gold prospecting when he first found some yellow stuff in 1992, and he reckons from that moment on, it changed the way his eyes and brain 'saw' the colour gold. Having prospected as a pastime for many years, he was often asked to pass on his prospecting skills to others and eventually decided to set up a self-contained, ecological, transportable camp amongst the tall, bronze-trunked gimlet trees on his lease in the Great Western Woodlands, 43km from Kalgoorlie.
