Court ruling clears way for new check-off fees

A Jan. 18 ruling of the New Brunswick Appeal Court means cattle producers in that province will now pay $6 per head in check-off fees. The fees jump to $3.50 per head, up from $2, timed to match an increase in federal producer levies from $1 to $2.50.
